This school was opened in 2008 with the objective of providing the region of Al Hoceima with a scientific centre through the creation of a university nucleus, the support of technologically-focused high education and the promotion of professional learning.

The location of the school will also contribute to a Euro-Mediterranean dimension while responding to the national and regional needs for the formation of engineers.
