With a fifteen year trajectory, this research centre specialising in small scale blackwater treatment has been awarded the qualification of Agent in the Andalusian Knowledge Network. It is a research centre, a platform for knowledge and technology transfer and an active agent for the dynamisation of society through environmental education programmes and the promotion of public involvement in water management issues.

Its activities are divided between three areas: R+D, International Cooperation for Development and Environmental Society.
