CamBio sets forth the Programme “Campus Inclusivos. Campus sin límites”

The Programme Campus de Excelencia Internacional (CEI), Spanish Ministry of Education, with the cooperation of Fundación ONCE and Fundación Repso, promotes the continuation of training of disabled students beyond the ESO, Secondary Education and Vocational Studies levels, so that they may gain access to university. Similarly, this programme wants to raise awareness about the needs of these students, facilitating the full development of their talent and creativity and the acquisition of the necessary skills. For this, the programme aims at finding opportunities for the development of comprehensive protocols conducive to the full integration of disabled students into university.

Within this framework, the CEI de Medio Ambiente, Biodiversidad y Cambio Global (CamBio) begins its participation in the programme ‘Campus Inclusivos. Campus sin Límites’, the seat of which will rotate between the different universities within the coalition. This initiative is conducted as among the actions towards full accessibility carried out by the campus CamBio with the participation of Universidad Pablo de Olavide (coordinator), and the universities of Almería, Cádiz, Córdoba, Huelva, Internacional de Andalucía, Jaén, and the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas.

In 2011, the design of the programme for the promotion of scientific vocations among the students was the responsibility of Universidad Pablo de Olavide (UPO), Seville, through the Vicerrectorado de Cultura y Participación Social. The programme also informed these students about the possibilities and opportunities offered by university life. The opening ceremony will be presided over by the Chancellor of UPO, Juan Jiménez, Pilar Paneque, director of Campus de Excelencia Internacional de Medio Ambiente, Biodiversidad y Cambio Global (CEI CamBio), Juan Carlos López Cid-Fuentes, director of Pabellón de la Fundación ONCE, Seville, and Victoria Salvador, coordinator of the Área de Educación y Formación, Fundación Repsol.
