The Jean Monnet Chair participate in the International workshop on ‘Participation from a gender perspective’. The workshop is held in the framework of the project ‘Social Movements, participation, and gender’ coordinated by Maria Rosa Herrera, researcher at the Urban Governnace Lab. Researchers from different countries and practitioners discuss about the role of social participation in public policies and intervention processes from a gender perspective. Clemente J. Navarro, coordinator of the EUrPol Jean Monnet Chair, gave the opening conference: ‘Explaining possibilities and impacts of public participation in local governments: social and institutional mechanisms’
