Local governments are a privileged space to foster citizen closeness and trust to public institutions, and participatory processes and mechanisms are one of the main instruments to promote these effects. Public participation is a central aspect of urban policies promoted by the European Union. What strategies do urban policies use to encourage citizen participation? What effects do these strategies have on urban policies implementation and impacts?

Policymakers and practitioners in charge of different urban policies programs provide some answers to these questions in this webinar organized as a collaborative activity between EUrPol and the Local Government Observatory (Fundación Centro de Estudios Andaluces).
