What impacts do area-focused urban policies have on residents’ quality of life? Mercedes Najman, a CONICET researcher and head of the Urban Studies Area of the Gino Germani Institute of the University of Buenos Aires (IIGG), has presented the theoretical framework and results based on the research she is developing on this subject. Researchers from the IIGG and The Urban GoveGovernance Lab participated in the seminar discussing theoretical and methodological approaches for the comparative analysis of integrated area-based policies in Europe and Latin America.
This seminar is one of the activities carried out by Professor Najman during her stay at the Urban Governance Lab to develop comparative works between policies promoted by the European Union studied by EUrPol and those implemented in the Latin American context analysed by IIGG.
