In the framework of ISA Statutes, the RC03 has their Statutes to establish main aims, membership, internal organizational structure, board composition, elections rules and statutes amendments. These establish minimal principles and procedures to try to ensure the achievement of RC03 aims. Statutes could be consulted in this link.

As an established ISA Research Committee, RC03 participate in the ISA Research Council. This committee consists of representatives of all Research Committees and proposes to the Executive Committee the establishment, the upgrading, the demotion and the abolition of the Research Committees, Working Groups and Thematic Groups, as well as coordinating their activities. The Research Council may initiate international research projects of a cross-disciplinary nature with other scientific organizations.
