Abstract

The presentation will be based on his second thesis, which was recently defended. It analyzes what it means to account for one's actions and how such accounting is not only part of our everyday life but also of the social sciences we entertain in our universities. The question is is whether the social sciences indeed help us to account for our actions. In this work, this question is answered in the case of neuroscience, which is a recent development in the social sciences that aims to account for actions with reference to the human brain.
