HUM 857 - Comunicación interlingüística e interpretación intercultural: representaciones identitarias en España - EN

This research group investigates the different ways in which the image of Andalusia has been represented fin travel speeches, through the works of English and French writers. The means of representation that are examined are both written texts (stories, essays and letters) and visual representations (photography, prints and other audiovisual resources). The group studies the changes in the image which we perceive of Andalusia from the bourgeois perspective in the texts of 19th century writers to the current viewpoint of contemporary creators and photographers, always paying attention to lesser known non-canonical viewpoints.
