Joanna Wandycz-Mejías

Joanna, the Director of the International Center, holds graduate degrees from Indiana University and the UPO and an undergraduate degree from Providence College. Before joining the UPO in 2001, Joanna spent four years at Harvard University advising Venezuelan and Colombian graduate students studying in the U.S. and Canada. Her study abroad experience includes a semester in Strasbourg, France, a year in Paris, a year on a graduate exchange scholarship at Warsaw University in Poland and summers in Istanbul, Turkey and St. Petersburg, Russia. Originally from Connecticut, Joanna grew up bilingual (English/Polish) and spent a total of three years living in Poland. She has been living in Spain for 20 years and in addition to Spanish, she speaks French and has an intermediate level of Russian.
