Samuel Fernández Pichel

Samuel is a specialist in Spanish cinema and has been part of the Seville´s European Film Festival jury. Since 2008, he has been teaching several cinema related courses as well as Spanish language courses at the Center. Samuel holds not only a Master´s degree in Cinema but also one in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language, and he is currently  finishing his PhD in Communication Studies.  He has also participated in a  number of specific teaching courses organized by the prestigious Instituto Cervantes. Before joining the UPO, he worked for several years as a teacher of Spanish in different study abroad organizations. Among his duties were planning and assessing academic programs for high school and undergraduate students from Europe, the United States and Canada. Samuel is fluent in Spanish and English.
