Laboratory for Testing and Diagnostics of Photovoltaic Cells and Sub-modules
(Laboratorio de ensayo y diagnóstico de sub-módulos fotovoltaicos)
The main purpose of the LEDMOF laboratory is to provide services and infrastructure for the advanced processing, testing and characterization of photovoltaic devices, from small laboratory cells to pre-industrially scaled submodules.
This way, it aims at closing the gap from laboratory to industry, helping to up-scale solar cells from lab to fab, providing crucial insight into typical up-scaling problems such as efficiency losses, inhomogeneities, performance variations and degradation issues under varying operating conditions.
Integrated Materials Characterization Laboratoy
The Integrated Materials Characterization Laboratory (INMALAB) of the Pablo de Olavide University was created to offer an integrated service for the assessment and scientific analysis of materials of energetic, environmental, biotechnological, geological and historical-artistic heritage protection interest, among others.
It includes the following materials characterization equipment:
High resolution electron microscopy system (SEM).
X-ray diffraction (XRD) system for crystallographic analysis of solid samples.
X-ray fluorescence (XRF) system for elemental analysis of solid and liquid samples.
Time-resolved ultraviolet/visible fluorescence system (TRF) for characterization of solid and liquid samples.
- Gas adsorption equipment.
- Thermal analysis equipment (TGA).
