Professor José Miguel Escribano Páez (UPO), a member of the PAIDI research group History of Globalization, is the curator of the exhibition on the Battle of Noáin (1521) at the Royal and General Archive of Navarre, inaugurated on 25th June.

The professor of Early Modern History curates the exhibition that gathers documents and materials from the period, brought from different places, among which are the Royal and General Archive of Navarra, the General Archive of the Indies, the General Archive of Simancas, manuscripts from the Bibliothèque Nationale of France or the Archive of the Royal Chancellery of Valladolid.

The exhibition aims to reflect on the historical event, as well as on the consequences it brought to Navarra at the time. To do so, it is divided into four blocks that narrate the development of the war itself, the echoes of the battle, the social implications, and the processes of peacebuilding after a violent episode.
