Professor Bartolomé Yun Casalilla (Universidad Pablo de Olavide) will speak on July 2, 2021, at 2:00 pm (CEST) at the online online of the recently published book Corruption, Empire and Colonialism in the Modern Era (Singapore: Palgrave Macmillan, 2021).

The event will feature interventions by two of its editors, Ronald Kroeze (Vrije Universiteit) and Pol Dalmau (Universidad Pompeu Fabra), as well as presentations by two contributors, Tanja Bührer (University of Bern) and Jonathan Saha (University of Durham), and reflections by Professor Bartolomé Yun (Universidad Pablo de Olavide), who contributes, to the aforementioned book, a chapter entitled Reflections of an Early Modern Historian on the Modern History of Corruption and Empire.

Alicia Schrikker (Leiden Universitywill follow as discussant and, finally, the event will close with concluding remarks from the editors.
