Lorena Pérez Macías holds a three-year degree in Tourism from the University of Seville (2006) and a five-year degree in Translation and Interpreting from the Universidad Pablo de Olavide (UPO) (2011), where she also earned her PhD in Translation in September 2017. From 2013 to 2019 she was a part-time lecturer in the Department of Languages and Translation at the UPO and she is currently a part-time lecturer in the Department of English Philology at the Autonomous University of Madrid. Lorena has also collaborated as a lecturer and researcher with other institutions, such as the Universidad Europea and the Ateneum-University (Poland) (supported by ISTRAD). As part of her collaboration with the Universidad Europea, she participated in two projects co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Community of Madrid: S2015/HUM-3404 (IN.MIGRA2-CM) and H2019/HUM-5772 (IN.MIGRA3-CM). She has been working as a freelance translator and interpreter of German and English into Spanish since 2011 and has been a member of the Interglosia research group (HUM-996) at the Universidad Pablo de Olavide since its creation in March 2017. Her main fields of interest are languages and migration, inverse translation, machine translation and post-editing.
