Paco Rodríguez

Paco Rodríguez holds a degree in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Granada (2000) and has been a Sworn Translator (French) since 2001.

His teaching experience began at the Université de Poitiers, France (2001-2002), and then he worked as a lecturer at the Universities of Granada (2004) and Cordoba (2009-2021), and has been teaching at the Pablo de Olavide University since January 2021.

He has taught on the master’s degrees Juriste-Linguiste at the Université de Poitiers; Specialised Translation at the UCO; Languages, Cultures and Commercial Relations organised by ISTRAD and the UCO and, currently, on the master’s degree in International Communication, Translation and Interpreting at the UPO.

He was awarded a PhD from the University of Cordoba in 2017. His main line of research is multimodal translation, with special emphasis on Franco-Belgian comic translation and related disciplines such as audiovisual translation.

He was a member of the Oriens HUM-940 Research Group (UCO), with whose members he continues to collaborate, and is co-director of the journal Transletters. International Journal of Translation and Interpreting.

He has also worked in the professional sector as a freelance translator and as an entrepreneur, founding NdT Traductores, LTD. in 2005 with Sergio España.
