Gloria Martínez Cousinou

Gloria Martínez Cousinou holds a PhD with European Mention and Extraordinary Doctorate Award (UNED, 2013), a Master in Management of International Cooperation for Development and a degree in Political Science and Sociology (University of Granada). She has worked as a sociologist and political scientist in different national research centers and universities (IESA-CSIC, Centro de Estudios Andaluces, Universidad Pablo Olavide, Universidad Loyola Andalucía) and has been Visiting Scholar in prestigious foreign universities, such as the University of Nottingham, the London School of Economics and Political Science and Georgetown University. His main lines of research include corruption and democratic quality, on the one hand, and the study of parliamentary elites, on the other. More recently, he has been working on political socialization and active citizenship. His articles are published in journals such as European Political Science, Human Service Organizations: Management, Leadership & Governance, International Journal for Equity in Health, Revista Internacional de Sociología (RIS), Papers and Revista Española de Sociología (RES), among others.
