Mª Ángeles Huete García

Doctorate with a European mention from the University of Pablo de Olavide in Seville and Master in Latin-American Studies from the University of Salamanca. She is a professor in the Sociology Department from the University of Pablo de Olavide in Seville. She has done research internships in the Universities of Chicago (United States), Odense (Denmark) and Essex (United Kingdom). Her line of research is focused on the analysis of governance systems in the field of urban policy, taking part in research projects that are competitive both at the national and international level.

She is a researcher and collaborator at the Ibero-American Institute at the University of Salamanca and director of the “América Latina Hoy” journal https://revistas.usal.es/index.php/1130-2887/index

She is part of the committee of Urban Sociology of the Spanish Federation of Sociology (FES) as the secretary.

She has been responsible of diverse panels organised in the conferences of IPSA (Madrid 2012 and Montreal 2014) and AECPA (2017 and 2019) regarding urban regeneration policies from an European perspective, as well as analysis of the urban agenda.
