Nieves Aroca Garrido

Graduate in Sociology from the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) with an award for the best academic record in the 2010/2011 academic year from the Centro Asociado UNED Seville. Master's Degree in Society, Administration and Politics from the Universidad Pablo de Olavide.  Professor -Tutor in the Degrees of Sociology and Political Science and Administration, Social Anthropology and Criminology at the National University of Distance Education (UNED Associated Center of Seville). She has worked as a political consultant in the general elections (presidential, congressional, municipal and overseas deputies) of the Dominican Republic in 2016. She has participated in the Social and Community Cooperation Initiative framed in the Emple@30+ program under Law 2/2015 of December 29, in the City Council of Seville developing the occupation of sociologist, and performing tasks of analysis and evaluation of social data, coordination with municipal services and other institutions, planning, study and audit design, and planning and organization of activities. She is currently a doctoral candidate in the research line "Citizenship, Democracy and Parliaments" at the Doctoral School of the Pablo de Olavide University (EDUPO), specializing in the study of the municipal representatives who joined the municipalities of the provincial capitals at the national level after the EEMM of 2015. She has participated in the Horizon 2019 research project funded by the Preference Matcher University of Zurich. She has defended a paper and attended the I International Congress on Specialized Communication in the Information Society.
