MOOC : Introducción a la LSC
Mooc de aprendizaje de la Lengua de Signos Catalana (LSC)

We want to draw your attention to the first MOOC (to our knowledge) which is offered in order to learn a sign language.
It is an introduction to Catalan Sign Language (LSC), but even if at first sight you might find it of little use because you live outside Catalonia, it is a chance to be exposed to and to learn about the properties of sign languages in practice, and it will surely motivate you to learn your local sign language. It also contains basic information related to Deaf communities and sign language structure, next to the proficiency learning units.
The course is called Introduction to Catalan Sign Language: Speaking with Your Hands and Hearing with Your Eyes, and is offered on the platform FutureLearn. It starts on April 4th and it lasts for 6 weeks, with an average study load of 4 hours a week. And it's for free!
