Hacia un indice global de vulnerabilidad Urbana

Congress: VIII Congreso Andaluz de Sociología, Sociedades en Transición (Almería, 24 de Noviembre de 2016)

Abstract: This communication is part of a broader research project that aims to examine the impacts of urban regeneration programmes in different Spanish cities, particularly those funded by the European Union’s Urban initiative. We propose the construction of a general vulnerability indicator that will help us to define homogeneous urban areas, considering precisely the dimensions in which these programs operate. Therefore, based on different existing data sources and through the application of a confirmatory factorial analysis, we propose the definition and validation of a series of indicators to measure urban vulnerability levels in cities at census section level.
