The objective is to build a complete database joining physical and monetary aspects of the multi-sectoral structure of the European countries analyzed. The aim is to elaborate a data, Input-output type, with a clear bio-economic component.

In this sense, the main objective of this project is the elaboration of monetary and physical Input-output tables (and, eventually, their extension, Social Accounting Matrices) with a high bio-economy disaggregation sector, database that will be the reference point and fundamental basis of estimations and calculations that should be carried out in the rest of the work packages of the European consortium project BIOCLIMAPATHS.

More specifically, the objectives of the BIOCLIMAPATHS work package presented in this national project are: (1) Construction of regional Input-Output tables (IOTs)/ Social Accounting Matrices (SAMs) for selected countries (Austria, Germany and Spain) (2) Linking with national BIO-IO frameworks and physical (biomass based) European Multiregional Input-Output (MRIO) framework. (3) Estimation of BIO-IO national level databases (1995-2015).
