Presentation of the monograph

Currently, cultural diversity with a gender perspective is a new topic that aims to promote social inclusion, generating debates in different areas such as academic, political and social. Traditionally, policies related to the management of cultural diversity have not taken into account the gender perspective, nor have gender policies taken into account the cultural element, being two elements that have been independently articulated in the governance of territories. In fact, gender equality policies originally made little reference to racialized women, women from ethnic minorities or migrants, considering the category of "woman" as a concept that can be generalized to all women, without considering the diversity of women that exist according to multiple variables and the intersectionality in which they can be found.

In this sense, the monograph "Cultural Diversity, Gender and Social Inclusion from a Transnational and Interdisciplinary Perspective" aims to reflect on the confluence between cultural diversity and gender from a transnational and interdisciplinary perspective. To this end, it is proposed to analyze these elements in a global context that transcends national borders and traditional disciplinary boundaries, in addition to taking into account the local context where actions can be established that favor equal opportunities in different contexts. In this way, this monograph will provide knowledge to better understand the complexity of these issues in a globalized world. It will also foster the development of more inclusive and equitable approaches to promote social justice and respect for diversity in all its forms.

From this edition we call on the scientific community to contribute theoretical revisionist works and research results that favor gender equality and respect for difference, contributing to critical knowledge and the promotion of more inclusive and equitable societies.
