ISIMIP Health Workshop Barcelona, 28-29 November 2018.

Together with Joacim Rocklöv from Umea University in Sweden, Veronika organized a workshop on modelling the impacts of climate change on human health, which took place 28-29 November in Barcelona, hosted by ISGlobal. The workshop brought together modellers working on different climate-sensitive health outcomes, i.e., vector-borne diseases, water-borne diseases, temperature-related mortality, mal-/undernutrition, and occupational health impairments. The main objective of the meeting was to develop simulation protocols for the different sectors, in order to provide more consistent and improved information on health impacts of climate change, to be included e.g. in the 6th IPCC assessment report. The initiative is embedded in the Inter-Sectoral Impact Model Intercomparison Project (ISIMIP), which provides part of the harmonized input data.
