Abstract

In this work, we present an updating of the rural settlement in the municipality of Antequera during the Roman era. The labours of the preventive archaeology and the prospectings accomplished in the framework of the revision of the different urban plannings over the last few years have significantly increased the knowledge that we had about the Romanisation in the depression of Antequera. We only analyse those archaelogical sites that we regard as novelties and which are unknown due to the immediacy of the works that have been developed over the last months and years. We start from the publication date of the last Archaeological Activities Annual Directory of the Regional Government of Andalusia, which corresponds to the 2006 annuality at the time of writing.
