Abstract

From building plans and documents preserved in the archives of the Royal Academy of San Fernando, the reconstruction project of the Church of San Juan Bautista in Ecija (Seville) is analyzed. It was made by Ignacio Thomas in 1792. Interrupted construction, today only the remains of what would have been an important neoclassical church in the context of a village with broad baroque roots.
