Anonymous Peer Review

To ensure the integrity of the blind peer-review evaluation of submissions sent to this editorial, all possible steps will be taken to prevent the author from knowing who is completing the review and vice versa. In order to do so, the authors, editors, and proofreaders (that submit documents as part of the revision process) should prove that they have followed the following steps in relation to the text and the file properties:

  • The authors of the documents have erased their names from the text and have used “Autor” and the year included in the references and footnotes instead of the name of the author, the title of the article, etc. In this way, their identity will not be detected via references to other works by the same author, acknowledgements nor any other type of information.
  • For Microsoft Office documents, remove the identification of the author from the file properties (see the “File” option in Word), by clicking on the following options. Begin with the “File” option listed in the main menu of Microsoft Word: File> Save as> Tools (or Options in Mac)> Security> Eliminate personal information in the properties of the file> Save.
  • For PDF files, eliminate the names of the authors from the document properties, which is found in the "File” option in the "Main Menu” of Adobe Acrobat.
