About the Journal

Scope and approach

Meldar: International journal of Sephardic studies is an electronic publication that aims to create a forum for the dissemination and exchange of scientific research in the scope of the Sephardic studies from any perspective or methodology.

The journal is presented as an open and plural academic forum that allows researchers from different backgrounds and disciplines to establish a fruitful exchange of the state-of-the-art scientific advances in this field of study.

 

Publishing process

The submission proposals implies the acceptance by the authors of the journal's code of ethics, based on the COPE rules, which requires the papers to be original, unpublished and not accepted for any other journal. magazine, or being immersed in its evaluation process. Likewise, the contents included in the articles should not have its copyrights compromised. Plagiarism or fraudulent papers will lead to exclusion.

 

Peer Review Process

All submissions will be reviewed anonymously by members of the editorial board as well as evaluated anonymously (double-blind) by two specialists from the journal’s international board of referees. In case of discrepancy, the Editor may request a review of a third evaluator.

  1. The evaluators are external to the Editorial Board. Their evaluation will be binding on the decision-making.
  2. Methodological revisions are carried out  for the review of specific  articles.

Open Access

This journal is Open Access subject to the following:

  1. Meldar: International journal of Sephardic studies holds the copyright of the published texts, allowing and supporting its dissemination accordingly with the next bullet point 2.
  2. This electronic publication is Open Access under a Creative Commons Licence 4.0 (CC BY-NC): Attributed-NonCommercial.
  3. This journal does not charge with fees to submit or publish.

Frequency

Meldar: International journal of Sephardic studies will be published annually in december.

Every manuscript sent will be assessed with SafeAssign.
