Zinc oxide (ZnO) is a promising material for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) due to its electronic structure and transport properties, and cells with efficiencies of up to 5% have been reported. To achieve high efficiency cells, the ZnO nanomaterials properties need to be optimized, which requires a thorough understanding of the synthesis process. Sol-gel processing was used under a variety of experimental conditions to obtain ZnO anomaterials for application in DSSCs Taking advantage of the knowledge of how to manipulate the particle size, different sizes of ZnO nanoparticles were prepared. The ZnO nanoparticle radius could be tuned in the range from 5 nm to 100 nm by addition of a controlled amount of water. These ZnO nanoparticle size, will be manufactured DSSCs using organic dyes and make a study of transport and recombination properties. Studies for IMVS, IMPS and EIS.
