Abstract

After extensive artistic and historiographic study, it can be determined that the Golden Age of the contemporary movement in Seville lie in the emergence of an important pictorial generation in the Eighties. This period appears to be the moment, chronologically and asymmetrically, when Contemporaneity reached it’s intensity in Andalusia. This article is an attempt to establish atrack record and an understanding of the limits of the so-called Group of Seville, whilst also considering their guidelines on diction and languages. Also, it will then go on to determine a chronological framework within this period based on the exhibition, text of catalogues and the critical reception of both.
