LAS MULTINACIONALES ESPAÑOLAS EN AMERICA LATINA: IMPACTOS MULTIPLES
Abstract
El objeto fundamental de este artículo es presentar un balance general de los diversos impactos que las multinacionales españolas están provocando en América Latina, desde que comenzaron a instalarse en la región a principios de la década del noventa del siglo pasado hasta la actualidad. En primer lugar, se presenta el origen del fenómeno multinacional español y su evolución histórica. A continuación, se señalan las características principales de este tipo de empresas. Posteriormente, el capítulo central del texto se ocupa de identificar los impactos múltiples que estas grandes corporaciones generan, destacándose entre otros la mercantilización de servicios públicos, la pérdida de soberanía, la practica del lobby, la falta de transparencia, la criminalización social, el deterioro medioambiental y la vulneración de derechos laborales y de los pueblos indígenas.Downloads
