LA CORRALA DE VECINAS “LA UTOPÍA”: LA EXPERIENCIA DE UNAS MUJERES EN LUCHA POR EL DERECHO A LA VIVIENDA
Abstract
La Corrala de Vecinas “La Utopía” somos una comunidad de 36 familias que en mayo de 2012 decidimos ocupar un edificio de nueva construcción que llevaba algo más de dos años terminado y vacío en el barrio de la Macarena, en Sevilla. Todas las personas que decidimos realojarnos en este inmueble teníamos problemas para disfrutar de una vivienda digna y adecuada, tal y como se recoge en la Constitución española, ya que estábamos sufriendo procesos de desahucios, por alquiler o por hipoteca (incluso de vivienda pública). Algunas personas estaban habitando en viviendas o habitaciones sin las mínimas condiciones de habitabilidad, o directamente en una situación de imposibilidad de acceder a una vivienda. Nos encontrábamos “rescatadas” por algún familiar, a la espera de poder volver a contar con un trabajo que nos permitiera “reemanciparnos” y volver a disponer de un lugar donde poder desarrollarnos como personas plenas y adultas.Downloads
