Abstract

The lack of interest shown in the work carried out by the pipes fitters of our city has created an important ignorance regarding these artisans who worked in the maintenance and distribution of water in Seville. Although there are studies related to the supply of this valued commodity in the Sevillian metropolis, there are few references and studies focused on the work done by these craftsmen. On this occasion, after having consulted the Section of Notarial Protocols of the Provincial Historical Archive of Seville and the conventual archive of St. Agnes, we have been able to establish a relationship of cane masters who worked in the service of this community of Franciscan Clarish sisters, allowing us to contribute unpublished information about these and their relationship with this monastic institution and the presence of patrons who covered these interventions.
