FÁTIMA MERNISSI: UN HITO ESENCIAL EN LA HISTORIA DEL FEMINISMO ISLÁMICO
Abstract
Fátima Mernissi (1940, Fez-2015, Rabat) ha sido una de las más conocidas feministas del mundo árabo-musulmán. Sus estudios sobre las relaciones entre la ideología sexual, la identidad de género y el status de la mujer en el Islam suponen un hito de singular valía en la historia del pensamiento contemporáneo. A lo largo de su extensa obra, se mostró, en todo momento, como una luchadora incansable en la denuncia del control de la sexualidad femenina, como forma secular de marginación y subordinación de la mujer en el seno de sociedades marcadamente patriarcales, tanto en el ámbito islámico como occidental.Downloads
