About the Journal

Focus and Scope

International Journal of Educational Research and Innovation (IJERI) is an international scientific journal that promotes multidisciplinary research on pedagogical innovation and best practices related to new pedagogical training trends. Its mission is to disseminate and stimulate the transfer of current international knowledge and to reflect on interdisciplinary pedagogical research, scientific experiences, and didactic innovations mainly focused on the techno-pedagogical field. It is aimed primarily at teachers and research professionals in pedagogical training.

Peer Review Process

The International Journal of Educational Research and Innovation (IJERI) is an arbitrated publication that uses the peer-review system, according to the APA (American Psychological Association) publication standards. The fulfillment of these requirements facilitates its indexing in the main international databases of specialty journals, guaranteeing a greater dissemination of published works.
For the positive evaluation of each manuscript, the favorable report of the editorial team and two experts is mandatory. In case of discrepancy the Editorial team may request the review of a third evaluator. The authors have the possibility of suggesting names of possible reviewers.
The evaluators are external to the team of editors of the scientific journal.
The reviewers prepare a report within a maximum period of 1 month.
Based on the recommendations of the reviewers, the journal's editorial board will communicate the results of the evaluation by email to the authors, as well as the comments and comments of the reviewers.
In the case that the manuscript has been accepted with modifications, the authors must resubmit a new version of the article, which will be submitted again for review by the same reviewers.
Finally, once the positive evaluation of the manuscript has been obtained, the Editorial Board reserves the decision to include the article in the most appropriate number according to its characteristics.

Open Access Policy

International Journal of Educational Research and Innovation (IJERI) is an Open Access journal totally free, making the contents of scientific articles freely available, for the promotion of universal scientific knowledge. In this sense, IJERI does not apply any processing fees (APCs).

This journal provides open access to its content, based on the principle that offering the public free access to research helps to further global knowledge exchange.

The works published in this journal are subject to the following terms:

1. IJERI journal (the publisher) preserves the economic rights (copyright) of the published works, and favors and allows them to be reused under the use license indicated in point 2.

2. The works are published in the electronic edition of the journal under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivative 3.0 Spain license: they can be copied, used, disseminated, transmitted and publicly exhibited, provided that:

a) The authorship and the original source of its publication are cited (journal, editorial and URL of the work).

b) They are not used for commercial purposes.

c) The existence and specifications of this user license are mentioned.

Data availability and openness policy

International Journal of Educational Research and Innovation (IJERI) encourages authors to share the data and other artefacts supporting the results in the paper by archiving it in an appropriate public repository. IJERI expects that data supporting the results in the paper will be archived in an appropriate public repository. Authors may provide a data availability statement, including a link to the repository they have used, in order that this statement can be published in their paper.

Digital Preservation Policy

The articles published by the International Journal of Educational Research and Innovation (IJERI) are deposited for digital preservation in the institutional repository of the Pablo de Olavide University

The Journal provides an OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative - Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) interface that allows other portals and information services to access the metadata of the published content and is available at https://www.upo.es/revistas/index.php/ijeri/oai.

Publication frequency

International Journal of Educational Research and Innovation. It publishes two numbers a year, with the months of appearance July and December respectively.
