“A prisoner of her era”: a didactic proposal for the study of the Silver Age through Agustina González López.

Abstract

The didactic proposal “A prisoner of her era” pursues an innovative approach to the study of 20^th-century Spanish literature, focusing on the figure and work of Agustina González López. Its main objective is to broaden the traditional literary canon, highlighting the relevance of female figures in literary history and promoting diversity in the academic field. To achieve this purpose, a methodology based on the constructivist approach has been adopted, which encourages the active participation of students throughout ten sessions. A combination of theoretical and practical activities is proposed, including critical readings, debates, text analysis, and research work. The aim is to generate a space for critical and collaborative reflection, where students can explore topics such as the social role of women, political activism, or the intertextuality present in the work of González López. The conclusions drawn from this proposal highlight the importance of implementing interdisciplinary and participatory approaches in literature teaching. The need to make visible the contribution of women writers such as González López and their impact on the society of the time is highlighted. In addition, it highlights the value of promoting the inclusion and empowerment of women in the educational sphere, in line with the goals of the United Nations Agenda 2030. In short, “A prisoner of her era” provides a comprehensive framework for the study of women in education.
