Abstract

In the developement of citizen empowerment, the process of
raising awareness about our environment plays a decisive role. Online
media open access to information, so they can be an opportunity to
foster empowerment and improve democracy. However, against with this
opportunity appear risks such as the concentration of the internet in few
hands or the spectacularization of politics.
